Meet Jośe

Jośe is a thick, 15-1 hands, good looking powerhouse with speed to spare. He is ready to go into any direction you would like to take him. Terry Leeder has been roping off him on the head side and is looking to be a fantastic head horse, and could easily become a pro calibre head horse. He runs to every steer right from the very first time he backed in the box, and has never been out run. He is a quick learner and picks up on new things fast. Terry believes he could go in any direction as a rope horse. He would also be a great barrel prospect or a great pickup horse. This horse has tons of speed and is very athletic, with lots of power. Jośe will do whatever you ask of him. He will cover some miles in the pasture as he is a very fast walker. If you have to run something down out in the pasture or out of the roping box he will do it with ease. He moves very well off your legs, is easy to catch and good to trim. He loads and hauls great. He has great confirmation and good black feet. He has never bucked or bolted a day in his life. He can be left for a couple months, then saddled when it’s -20° and go drag a new calf in the barn with calf sleigh. Terry has pasture roped, moved pastures and is using him for checking cows during calving. He has also been team roping with him this winter.

José has been started and trained by Terry Leeder. Terry will continue to use him on the ranch and team rope with him until sale day.
