Kevin

Proudly offering ‘Kevin’ for your consideration, a uniquely coloured palomino gelding with dun markings. With his draft-like demeanor, he is one the whole family can enjoy, with a soft eye, great bone, and big hip. Kevin has been on our place since he was a yearling. I started Kevin as a two-year-old and he’s never offered any trouble. He’s now in his prime at six years old however you may already consider him your ‘old faithful’. He is quick to win everyone over with his ‘puppy dog’ personality and truly has a heart of gold. He’s been exceptionally soft in the face since day one, neck reins, has good head carriage, nice transitions and rates your seat. He is well broke with a combination of both extensive outside miles and arena work, with good body control. Over the past few years Kevin has also been exposed to all aspects of ranch life, including six weeks with Levi Ould on the community pasture last summer. Kevin is great to rope off of, he rates a cow and stops well, and doesn’t get worked up in tight situations. He was one of the easiest colts to go pull a first calf on in the branding pen. He’s quiet and relaxed while checking the herd, ground ties, and holds rope confidently. He will also take care of a greener roper, is super forgiving and non-reactive of your mistakes. He’s easy to get along with and suitable for anyone to ride, sure to be an asset to any working ranch or family home! I have no doubt he’ll make an excellent kids horse or you can go do a job on him tomorrow. Kevin does not need to be rode down, you can leave him for months, get on and go. He’s been hauled all over, always been sound, no vices, he wants to be your buddy and will meet you at the gate every time. The horse you see in his video is the same horse you get every day, one of the good ones. Kevin comes up to date on dental, shoeing, vaccines, and worming.
